Esther Wright Obituary

Esther Wright, 77, passed Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Life Care Center of Colorado Springs after a long illness. Born November 22, 1934 to Eric Williams and Hattie (Johnson) Williams in Chicago, Illinois. Esther was the second of five children. Esther joined the United State Air Force and served on active duty from January 1954 - 1957. She was honorably discharged with the rank of A1C. She was a 49 year resident of Colorado Springs. She joined Magnolia Chapter #14 Order of the Eastern Star (PHA) December 1964. Worthy Matron 1971. Grand Worthy Matron of Columbine Grand Chapter OES (PHA) Colorado, Wyoming and Utah, Jurisdiction, August 1994 - 1996. Joined the Daughters of Isis in October 1972, Syrian Court #40, Denver, Colorado and Kadesia Court #162 Colorado Springs in 1974. Served as Illustrious Commandress, 1981. Imperial Deputy of the Oasis of Colorado Springs 1985 - 1987. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, 1830 E Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 11:00am at St. John's Baptist Church, 902 S Prospect Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80903 with interment following at Evergreen Cemetery.
