Estrellita "Star" McElheney was the cherished eldest of five children Banco, Panchie, Dee Dee, and Kado. Born to Albert and Susanna Sanchez, both of whom have passed on. Star was a devoted mother, leaving behind four beloved children: Susan (Stephen) Kirk, Kelly (Chris) Gregg, Daniel McElheney, and Jaime (Carlos) Gerardo. Her legacy of love extends to her fifteen grandchildren: Stephene (Javier), Stephen (Jessica), Samantha, Matthew (Leslie), Richard, Victoria (Erik), Delainey, Felicia, Myranda, Daniel, Carlos (Jessica), Brittany (Emmanual), Jacob (Sophia), Jaxsen, and Jaimeson, and fifteen great-grandchildren. A proud Colorado native, Star was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan, showing unwavering dedication to her team. When the Broncos weren't playing, she cheered for the Philadelphia Eagles, her second favorite team from her second home. Star's love for football was matched only by her devotion to her family. She spent countless hours in thoughtful prayer, always seeking protection and blessings for those she held dear. Star's passion for western TV shows was well-known, and she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her home was filled with keepsakes from loved ones, each card, bag, and label a testament to the love she received and cherished. Star's heart was immense, and her love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. Her presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Star loved hard, and she will be remembered even harder by those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her kindness and warmth.
Viewing and Rosary will be on March 19th (Viewing 3:00pm to 5:30pm followed by the Rosary at 5:30pm to 6:00pm) at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors located at 1104 South Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80910
The services will be on March 20th with the Liturgy of the Word at Angelus Chapel at 12:00pm, followed by the Committal Service at Memorial Gardens 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910 at 2:00pm, and ending back at Angelus Chapel for a luncheon from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

Star was one of the loves of my life I would visit her and Danny back in Philadelphia and she would always. Show us off to her local friends and families she never had a cross word to say and was always happy to see us. What a bunch of crazy times we had. Back east She would always give good advice when she saw you messing up just after a quick slap to the back of the head a say straighten up what wrong. With you I was thinking about her on Tuesday. And wondering how she was. My life was so enlightened when ever we were hanging out. She made me feel like I was the greatest guy on earth. And I will always remember her beautiful smile. I love you star and will never forget all the times we had. Fly with angles honey cause you sure were one on earth
