Ethan Montoya Obituary

Ethan Michael Montoya, 30, of Denver died October 25, 2015 as the result of a gun shot wound. He was born September 12, 1985 in Colorado Springs the son of Michael and Denice (Dove) Montoya. He attended school in Colorado Springs and graduated from Sand Creek High School in 2005.

Ethan played youth hockey while in elementary and junior high school and enjoyed watching Rockies baseball and Bronco football as he got older. He was employed by Halliburton Oilfield Services. He had a zest for life that few will ever equal, a smile and a laugh that stole your heart. He was a true friend to many and enemy of few. His heart was as big as the mountains that he so dearly loved and his soul as spectacular as the sunrises and sunsets he loved to photograph and post every week.

Ethan is survived by his parents Michael and Denice of Falcon: his sister Amanda Brown and nephews Eli and Dane of Colorado Springs. He also leaves his maternal grandmother Nadine Dove of New Mexico. His paternal grandfather Mike Montoya of Colorado Springs.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather John Dove and his paternal grandmother Tillie Montoya.

He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved dearly.
