Ethel White
September 12, 1936 - December 29, 2017
Ethel White, 81, unexpectedly left us to be with her Lord on December 29, 2017, at her home in the Liberty Heights Independent Living Community in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a longtime Colorado Springs resident.
Ethel was born on September 12, 1936, to Albert Haueisen and Bueta (Banta) Haueisen in California. Her family later moved to Colorado, where she lived most of her life. She was married to James "Sonny" White (deceased).
Ethel had a deep appreciation and keen eye for art and beauty, and her gifts in interior design enriched the lives of many over the course of her career. She was also a committed Christian who faithfully studied God's Word as she waited for her Lord's return. She attended Western State College.
She is survived by her children: Christy Notary, Kelly Kirks, and Kevin Kirks; her sister, Donna Johnson; her grandchildren: Joshua Schmidt, Jason Schmidt, Stacey Zander, Max Kirks, Connor Kirks, Olivia Kirks, and Charlie Kirks; and her great-grandchildren: Caleb and Haley Schmidt, Colton and Caiden Schmidt, and Willow and Wesley Zander. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Haueisen; her first husband, Charles Kirks; and her husband, Sonny White.
A private grave-side service is pending.
