As the editor of the Westside Pioneer community newspaper (now retired) when Dick Wulf was the volunteer head of the Pleasant Valley Neighborhood Association (2004-2011), I often crossed paths with him for news. He invariably helped such times be enjoyable with a professional touch, and I became aware that he did a lot of positive work for his neighborhood. He was once a Meet a Westsider for our newspaper. Here's the link to that article in the Pioneer archives: http://westsidepioneer.com/Articles/111005/MeetAWestsider.html

He had a profound and lasting impact on both my personal and professional life. Certainly one of those "lives well lived for the glory of God". My condolences to Jeanne.

I feel privileged to have had personal one-to-one counseling and coaching with Dick Wulf in the decade of the 1980s. Dick was a wonderful friend, mentor, and man of incredible love emanating from his soul. Sincerely, I look forward to meeting him again at the great promised resurrection, as the biblical texts explain it. Thank you, Dick and Jean Wulf, for your inspiring lives.

Though I did not know Dick, I was married for a while to a man who thought very highly of him, as Dick and probably you had helped him a lot in some difficult times in his life. I was only married to Dean Shriver for 4 years before our Heavenly Father called him home in 2007. I´m sorry for your loss here on earth, but know he is in Heaven waiting now for you and us.

I am sorry to hear that we will no longer have Dick Wulf in the world! I knew him when I was editor of the Westside Pioneer community newspaper (2004-2019) and he was president of the Pleasant Valley Neighborhood Association (2004-2011). I always found him amiable, enterprising and community-spirited. Anyone wanting to find out more about Dick during that time could do so by going to westsidepioneer.com and searching on his name in the archives. As for his passing, here's a quote from the time he was the Pioneer's Meet a Westsider in November 2005: "If I could meet someone famous, I'd like to meet Jesus in the flesh. Someday I will. Looking forward to the trip."
