Ewall Strickland Obituary
Ewall received his education from Chatham County School District in Savannah, GA and received his degree from Savannah State College. He joined the US Army where he proudly served and traveled the world. Ewall served his country across many duty stations to include service in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During the course of his travel he met his beloved wife while on a TDY to Chicago, Ill. They were united in holy matrimony, in Chicago, after a brief courtship on December 2, 1952. Ewall, Zelia and their children continued to travel the world and retired after a 22 year distinguished military career. Ewall and Zelia retired in Colorado Springs, Co and he began a second career at Pikes Peak Community College, where he provided over a decade in service, before retiring.
Ewall was preceded in death by his beloved Wife of 55 years Zelia, Daughter Vicky and Sister-in-law Helen. Ewall leaves to cherish his memory, his brother Walter, children Ewall, Jr. Emanuel, Barbara "Strickland" McCottry, Charles McCottry, Grandchildren Christina "Strickland" Wildy, Chamberlain Wildy, Justin Strickland, Taylor, Shemar, Myah and Jordan McCottry; as well as a host of other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm - 9:00pm Friday, April 8, 2016 at Angelus Funeral Directors at 1104 S. Circle Drive.
Funeral Service 2:00pm Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Angelus Funeral Directors at 1104 S. Circle Drive. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery with full Military Honors.
The family will receive guest at the repass immediately following the interment back at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors.

My deepest sorrows to all of Ewalls family. He worked with me here at Pikes Peak Community College back in the 90's and I became a friend of his and he of mine. I am sad to hear of Ewalls passing. Please accept my most sincere condolences for your loss.
