Fannie Reble Obituary

Fannie Fairis Reble, 93, passed away October 6, 2006. She was born October 22, 1912 to Moses Monroe and Maude Lee (Bean) Porter in Conway, AR. Fannie was employed at the Hanover School System (Hanover, CO) as a custodian, cook and school bus driver. She also farmed; raising cattle and growing corn and beans. She married William Dave Reble on February 26, 1930 in Pueblo, CO. He died on February 19, 1987 in Colorado Springs, CO. Fannie came to Colorado from Kansas in a covered wagon. She lived in colorado for over 80 years. for the past seven years she has lived in the Elkhart and Goshen areas. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club, Extension Homemaker's Club and Literary Society of Squirrel Creek. She served as an election official for many years transporting ballot boxes to Colorado Springs. She was a 4-H Leader and a charter member of the Hanover Community Church where she served as Secretary/Treasurer for over 30 years and was a leader of the church youth group. She is survived by daughter, Virginia M. (Larry) McGuire of Elkhart, IN; three sons: William D. (Bonnie) Reble of Springfield, MO.; Lawrence L. (Frances) Reble of Hanover, CO.; Timothy J. (Tanzy) Reble of Shelbyville, IN; 18 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; one brother, Virgil (Betty) Porter of Hanover, CO; one sister, Azell chase of Grand Junction, CO. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Constance M. Wesselman; one sister, Aluine Whalley; and one brother, Floyd Porter. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (October 21, 2006) at Hanover Community Church.
