Fannie Smith Obituary

Fannie D.
Smith
August 30, 1937
August 9, 2024

Abraham Lincoln said, "All I am and all I hope to be, I owe to my mother. " My siblings and I can say the same about our mom, Fannie Dolores Smith. She embodied humility, compassion, kindness, and love. We will miss her dearly.
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce Fannie Dolores Smith gained her angel wings on August 9th, 2024 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Fannie was 86 years old. Those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she here. She believed in paying forward and applied it to everyone she met. Music made her dance and raised her spirits. Her favorite artist was Wilson Wicked Pickett.
Fannie is from Preston, Georgia. She was predeceased by her parents, LC and Vera Williams and her husband of 58 years, Theodore Smith.
Fannie is survived by her son, Craig and her daughters, Hamelle and Tedra as well as extended family and friends. As she requested there, will be no flowers or funeral services. If you like, donations to Saint Jude's cancer research would be greatly appreciated.
