Fermin was a true friend. i have known him for 6 years. we wern't that close of friends but still it counts. i cant believe that that happened. he was a kind and caring friend. he was always thinkin of everyone else but himself.i wonder why its always the good and caring people that go. its a shame. Fermin completed alot in his 17 years here. but he moved on to a better place. My condolences to the Vialpando Family. My prayers are with you.

It is sad to lose someone so young. I remember reading this story online and it saddened me, especially because it was someone from my hometown. I did not attend Harrison, but all of my friends did. I feel deeply for your family's loss and I pray that time will at least ease the pain, because it will never erase it.

Fermin was a very good person and he touched the heart of many people.. Fermin was not only a teammate but he was also one of my best friends.. I had the pleasure of coaching Fermin at Harrison during his soph. year. I never heard him complain and always responded with,"Yes Coach!" We don't know why God works the way that he does, we just need to pray for his will. My heart and prayers are with anybody who has been touched by Fermin in their lives. He was a great man and that is a testament to his wonderful family. Fermin, Coach "O" will miss you and I know you will be there for us all as a guardian angel.

Fermin was an amazing friend. I knew well through baseball,wrestling in middle school, and band in high school. It was more than a privilege to know Fermin, it was a blessing. Fermin I love you man and you will forever be in my heart.

I am going to miss him alot. He was like a big brother to me and he always use to help me with anything and everything that i needed help with. Seemed like such a short time ago when we goofed on in class in middle school even shorter time ago when we yelled at the Pep Assembly on Friday. Only the good die young but Fermin was more then good, he was the best. We will always love and miss you Fermin nor will we ever forget our fallen brother. May you rest in peace.

The headline of the paper caught my eye when I was visiting my daughter in Fort Collins last weekend. It was especially heartwrenching to me because I lost my 20-year old son 2 months ago in a car accident. I am so very sorry for loss. I cried for you because I know what you are feeling, and what a long road we have ahead of us. Somehow, though, life has a way of moving us along. Be brave, lean on your family and friends until you are strong enough to do it yourself. Be gentle with yourselves and each other. I pray that God will grant you peace, and in time may your memories bring you comfort.

I know just how you're feeling right now. It's kids like ours we need more of, not fewer. Stay involved with your son's friends and his sport, you'll feel a lot better. I'm really sorry. But know that your son is still touching other kids, even over here on my Doherty side of town, and out at Tour Hockey Arena on the Liberty side of town, they're all talking about him.... We were so lucky, even for too short a time, we got to be their moms. They were our precious gift.

I was a student with Fermin in middle school and 2 and a half years of high school. Although I did not know him like most students at Harrison did, I know that he was a special person and that he was kind, caring and thoughtful along with so much more. It saddens me that this had to happen to someone so special but theres nothing anyone could do. He left this life to go to a better place and live a better life.
