Florela Yancey, age 90, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
It is time to remember our dear heart, Florela, who meant so much to so many friends and everyone in her family.
Flo, as she was known by her family and friends, was a source of faith and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. She brought joy and inspiration to the many lives she touched.
She has gone from our side; but more eyes than ours are seeing her coming their way. She has ascended into the arms of God where she resides for eternity, but she has left us all with the image of a beautiful spirit and a lasting impression of compassion and empathy.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 16, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Chapel of Memories, 829 South Hancock Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
Florela will be laid to rest at 2:30PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions in Flo's memory to: The Kathryn Yancey Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of Charles Zimkas, Chairman, 8085 DeAnza Peak Trail, Colorado Springs, CO 80924.
