Florence Mary Satterly

AGE: 88 • Niceville, Florida

Passed away Thursday, Aug.22, 20013. She was born in Newton, lived in Leona, and Lyndhurst N.J. until her marriage to Robert I. Satterly. She traveled with him as an army wife in Europe and across the U.S. for 22 years then settled in Ocean Township where she lived for the past 50 years before moving to Florida. Among many other jobs and raising six children, "Mary" worked at and retired from the Community Center of Ft. Monmouth. She was a communicant of the Church of St. Anselm. She and "Bob" celebrated 67 years of marriage in February. Surviving are her husband, Robert, five children: John (predeceased), Dorothy Carretta, Ocean Township, N.J.; Michael, Kalispell, Montana; Timothy, Longmont, Colorado; Paula Edell, Upper Montclair, N.J.; Lt. Col. Mary Frances Hart USAF, Niceville, Florida; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 27, 2013 at Church of Saint Anselm in the viewing Chapel at 11:00 am until the Funeral Mass at 12:00noon. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery and Mausoleum, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations to C.O.R. will be GREATFULLY ACCEPTED! THEY MAY BE MADE IN MEMORY OF FLORENCE "MARY" SATTERLY WHO ALWAYS DONATED TO EVERY MISSION THAT SENT HER A REQUEST. SHE STRONGLY BELIEVED IN HELPING THE UNFORTUNATE AND POOR.
