Floyd Orfield Obituary

Floyd Orfield Jr. was born September 29, 1931 in Leavenworth, Kansas.

He is preceded in death by his mother Mary and brother John. Surviving relatives; Wife JoAnn Orfield and sister Alean LaMontagne.

Floyd had four children Billie, Floyd, Lloyd, and Christine, also three step children Jane, Jean and Eddie. Floyd had 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Floyd lived in Colorado Springs for 70 years working as a heavy equipment operator supporting many projects that helped build our city.

Floyd was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local #9, where he was honored for his dedicated work and service.

Floyd had a passion for singing, playing the guitar and harmonica. Country western music put a smile on his face. He also had a hobby of rebuilding antique automobiles.

Floyd will be missed by family and friends.

Services will be January 9, 2017 Blunt Mortuary at 1:00 PM.
