Frances Meeker Obituary

Frances L Meeker, 87, passed away April 9, 2006. She was born in San Francisco, CA to Effie and Dr. Edwin Liles (deceased). She and William Meeker, who preceded her in death, were married in 1942. Fran worked for Farmland Industries in Kansas City, MO and Aurora, CO, retiring in 1980, then moved to Colorado Springs with her husband. She is also preceded in death by her sister Katherine. Fran is survived by her sons Bill (Nance) of Surfside Beach, SC, Bob (Vickey) of Monument, CO and daughter Terrie of Lexington, MO, six grandchildren, Kim of Colorado Springs, Rob of Oak Creek, CO, Darlene and Danielle of Ft. Collins, Paula Marez (Dave) of San Diego, CA and Marcus of Nashville, TN, also two great grandchildren. She lived in various locations including New York, Cleveland and Colorado Springs when her father was a Presbyterian minister. She volunteered for Penrose Hospitals and was very active as a member at Village Seven Presbyterian Church. She loved animals, watching football, crafts, painting, sewing, and being outdoors including fishing and gardening. Memorial services will be at Village Seven Presbyterian Church Saturday, April 22 at 1:30 PM. Family visitation will follow.
