Francis Holmes Obituary

How I wish I could be at the Chapel to sit with you all and celebrate Francis' homecoming. Thank you, Jeri, for all the love you and Francis showed me during my highschool years-- Francis was truly the spiritual father I needed during that critical time. His life, so faithful to our Lord, changed my life forever. My love is with you all. I know Francis will go on praying on our behalf even more powerfully in the presence of our Lord, even now.

I can scarcely remember a time when I did not know Francis. Occasionally stern, it seemed a forced thing to me, as he usually came across as fairly gentle to me. Your home was welcoming, most memorably the taffy pull we had in your living room more than 25 years ago (is that possible?) I remember lots of laughter, his obvious love for Jeri and his kids, and the love he had for Northeast. Many of us are jealous that you won the race, Francis, and got home first! Put out the welcome mat for us when we arrive.

Holmes family: Although I cannot be with you tomorrow at the service, I want you to know that you are in my prayers. Francis meant a lot to our family, and we remember fondly the times we spent together-especially our visit to Cabo! We send our love to you, and praise God that Francis is in the presence of God now, worshipping at His feet for all eternity.
