I remember and still tell people to this day: "Airplanes are not toys." The Deis family gave me a lovely Christmas in a difficult year, and I won't forget.

I had the honor of working with Frank Deis at Teledyne Brown Engineering in the 70s and 80s. He was a man of remarkable intellect, skills and talent... truly a National Treasure. He will be greatly missed by all he ever associated with. May you rest in eternal peace my friend.

A brilliant man with a passion for engineering, impeccable integrity, and a generosity and humbleness with others rarely seen. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Frank was a great friend and mentor to many of us. And then there were the Frankisms: "Thinking a high risk strategy of last resort." And so many others. He always had a kind word and mischevious gleam in his eyes.

Frank was a brilliant engineer (a true Rocket Scientist), a caring and loyal co-worker and a generous friend. Everyone in missile defense mourns with you!

With heartfelt sympathy for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. (Isaiah 61:1,2)
