Frank Ingalls Obituary

Hope giving way to despair, Frank Ingalls, age 58, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2005. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Edgar G. Ingalls, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Mary Moore Ingalls, Plymouth, MN; his brother, Tom Ingalls, San Francisco, CA; his sister, Betsy Ingalls (Patrick Corrigan), Santa Barbara, CA; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; colleagues; clients; students; fans; friends; and his cat, Mystic. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 22, in Minneapolis. A licensed psychotherapist and chemical dependency counselor, Frank spent much of his career providing guidance and support to "at risk" male clients. At the time of his death he was teaching at the University of Phoenix. Frank's talent and passion for music was life-long, he sang in choirs and recently completed his first "gig" with a rock band, Rough Around the Edges. Though challenged with depression himself, Frank was committed to helping others heal. He brightened our days with wry humor, simple truths and just the right bit of wisdom at just the right time. Alongside the sadness of his leaving we feel the easy light he brought into our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 23, at 5:30 p.m., Unity Church in the Rockies, 1945 Mesa Road. Call (719) 444-0306 for details. Memorials in Frank's name are preferred to Switzer Counseling Center, 555 E. Pikes Peak Ave, #108, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
