In hopes the family of CSM SOCHA sees this. I got to know him on a personal level. I was a “hold over” in Ft. Sill Ok. when CSM Socha was SFC. He impacted my life and made me strive to what I am today. I’m sorry to learn of his passing now. Frank on a personal level taught me and talked to me about my future. He cared for his soldiers and myself as a future soldier. I can only imagine how he impacted others in command of a base. To the family, you all had an amazing husband, father, brother, and devoted soldier to the United States Army, and the most dedicated man I have known. If any of you wish to contact me for more info on my personal info I have experienced with CSM Socha I would be happy to talk more. Once again I’m sorry to hear about the passing of this great influence on many soldiers lives. You can contact me at [email protected]

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to CSM Frank Anthony Socha our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Frank. And to Frank it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during multiple Operations including Iraqi Freedom while serving more than 25 years in the U.S. Army. Frank, no greater patriotism is shown than a soldier lay down his life in service to his country. We bid you a sad farewell. While you will be dearly missed from among our ranks you will always be remembered for your dedicated and loyal service to our great nation. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,307 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Frank's family and loved ones.
