Fred Adams Obituary

Fred L. Adams, Sr., 83, retired U.S. Army SFC Civil Service passed away quietly at home with loves at his side on April 4, 2005.He was born on August 8, 1921 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the union of Tora Featherstone and Lonnie Foster, both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tony Adams Hughes. Fred united in holy matrimony with Hazel Taylor Adams on September 19, 1980 in Colorado Springs, CO. Fred enjoyed: reading his bible, talking about the Lord, attending church and most of all spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren who gave him the greatest joy. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Hazel A. Adams; six daughters: Tiffany Itwaru, Fredrecia Cunningham, Sandra Cato, Freddie May Sherrial, Torry McKinley, Shani Ross; two sons: Jerome Adams and Fred L. Adams, Jr.; ex-wife, Ethel M. Adams; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Angelus Funeral Directors, 2535 Airport Rd. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2005 at Victory World Outreach Church 3150 S. Academy Blvd. Cremation will take place after the funeral service.
