Fred Martinez Obituary

Fred was born November 9, 1953 in Sydney, Nebraska to Fred Jose & Bernice R. Martinez. He died on July 29, 2010 in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his beloved family by his side. He was lovingly known as “Freddie Boy� by all who knew and loved him and was known for his big heart, he never passed by a homeless individual without extending support. He loved to fish, was an avid Bronco fan. His pride and joy was his family and friends, and they will always remember his radiant and beautiful smile. He leaves behind his very special friend, Maxine Chavez; parents, Fred J. & Bernice Martinez, sisters; Lydia Martinez, Janet Martinez, Cindy (Oscar) Halaby, Genevieve (Kenny) Salazar, Ruby Martinez-Nombrano and brother, Ralph Martinez along with a large extended family. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM-7:00PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM, Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at St. Mary Cathedral, 22 West Kiowa.
