Fred, I have such wonderful memories of our time together in Germany with you and Wilma. Although we've not seen one another in many years, the old army stories are still told often. You will be greatly missed, but your memory and the stories will go on and on.I remember all those young soldiers use to call you "Dad".Boy, were they lucky to have you there for them.Thank you for what you were to so many.

To the Medau Family,

I was saddened to read of Fred's passing. We were childhood playmates. How I enjoyed cub scouts at his house with his mom for our den mother!

Though our interests diverged and we lost touch with each other after high school, I still have many fond and wonderful memories of playing with "Freddie" when we were children.

May the Lord comfort you at this time.

Mom,I know right now is a hard time for you, as it is for all of us. Try to rememeber that Fred always had everyone's best interest in mind, even when it seemed as if he didn't.(Hard headed wasn't he)But when I thought about his advice it always was what he thought was best for us. The kids will always rememeber the camping and fishing and laugh about the trips and how fun they were. That is what we all take with us, a smile,a chuckle, just knowing how much each of us was loved by him and how much we loved him. What more could anyone ever ask for?

All our Love

Bill

Opa, it makes me so sad to know you are gone but at the same time, I know you are no longer suffering. I know you will always be with me along with everyone else. I will never forget fishing with you, camping, going to your shop, and never will I forget you calling me "Wormy". Have fun up there. Love, Christina

Fred, you were always so good to me, even if you were a tease. I remember the early years when Jack and I were married, and how you would tease me. I'll never forget the time we were all at Della's house and you insisted I make you a drink. When I refused, you dragged me by my feet into the kitchen, and of course, I ended up making you a drink. You were funny and charming, and I was always a little in awe of you. I'll always think of you as my brother-in-law.

Wilma and family, please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Fred will be deeply missed by many.

Sincerely,

Linda Magro

Fred, you will be missed! We will miss all the help you gave us during the years, from repairing VCRs and TVs to taking us camping and fishing. The girls alway looked forward to fishing and catching some trout to fry up and eat, especially Jenna. You were tough on the outside, but a heart of gold was on the inside. Thanks for the memories. We love you.
