Rick always represented to me the concept of an open mind, open heart, and an open door to anyone who crossed his path. He was a great listener and someone who was terrific with whom to trade stories (fishing or otherwise).

I will always remember Rick as a cousin that was always very nice to me. May he rest in peace and his family be blessed and comforted.

Dear Lynna and family. We haven't known Rick for long - just since we returned to Colorado Springs in 1999. He was always there when we needed him and like his family I'm sure missed more than all could ever imagine. We do thank you all for allowing us the privilege of knowing this man and may God be with you all - Rick is now in His Hands.

Rick was a good friend to our family. I feel like a brother has passed. His quiet manner and gracious ways are qualities that the present hustle bustle times need, and those qualities will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A decent man in a world that desperately needs them. I will miss you Rick.

I will always love you and miss you!!
Just a little poem to help remember you.
Coffee in the morning, cigarettes,
computer, working hard,loves Tv.
Often times fishing, many times games,
sometimes dinner with family or friends
repeat stories to tell and again.
when not talking, the heart listening.
Simple, easy, fun. The good man's life.

Lynna and family,
We are so sorry to hear about Rick. Words cannot express our deep sympathy for you and your family. May the Holy Spirit comfort you with peace and the knowledge that he's in the arms of our Father in Heaven. He is with your mom and dad and will be waiting for you to join him some day. You are in our thoughts and prayers. If you need to talk or cry, please call me (801-375-6737.) Love to you, Aunt Gloria, Uncle Harvey and family

Rick was very young when I first met him. He played with Vicki as we parents played cards. This is a loss to many people. With sincere sympathy. Jacqueline Thorson
