On June 30, 2023 Gail Ellen Leeper, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and great friend departed this world at the age of 88.
Gail, Mom or "Grammy" as she was affectionately known, brought much Joy to her children, grand and great grandchildren through her love of family, quick wit and sense of humor.
Gail Ellen (Zarett) Leeper was born on March 20th, 1935 to Oscar & Nettie Zarett in Sacramento, CA. The reached the milestone of 65 years of marriage in 2021
Gail met the love of her life, Sam (Sonny) Leeper on a blind date that resulted in their engagement and they were married On September 23, 1956 in Sacramento, CA.
Gail is remembered as a wonderful homemaker, impeccable house keeper who lived her life centered around her children. She was a foundational influence that kept the family on track. Gail was no pushover, a firm and disciplined Mom who taught her children right from wrong, responsibility and strong family values. She was always actively involved with her children, serving as a Den Mother to her boys and a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader to Teri and her friends in scouting. Gail was dedicated to the care and love of her family and she cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her quest in life was to keep her family close and share in their life experiences. She had a special fondness for sharing stories about the vacations she enjoyed with the family, wonderful travels she shared with Sam and the musings of family history that came up in conversation when relatives came to visit.
She is survived by her children, son Michael, daughter Teri and son Jack, 8 grandchildren; Tyler, Trevor, Chad, Ben, McKenzie, Allie, Cody, Logan And
6 great grandchildren; Kye, Sage, Jack Jr., Teddy, Rowan, Carter
