Gail Newton Obituary

Gail L. Newton, 64, died on August 29, 2016 in Colorado Springs, Colorado of a brain hemorrhage.

She was born on August 22, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Lester Matthias and Shirley Jean (Duerr) Newton. She was raised in Oak Creek and Waterford, Wisconsin, and in 1974, she moved to Colorado.

Ever the entrepreneur, Gail had spent the last forty-two years in various business ventures: from Deli Fresh Sandwiches, to Goldwest Properties.

Gail had a great love for her family, even with them being so far away. She also loved animals, especially her dogs. She loved watching the birds, squirrels and raccoons enjoy her many feeders.

A special thanks to Mike Patron, Tammy Gelsinger and Ed Evans for all the love, friendship, loyalty and care they provided for the past years.

Gail is preceded in death by her father, Lester Newton.

She is survived by her partner in business and in life, the love of her life for forty-two years, Gary Glynn; her mother, Shirley (Bill) Henkel; her brothers, Lance (Laura) Newton and Rex (Connie) Newton; her sisters, Lisa (Jimmy) Muetzelburg and Lori (Russ) Newton-Anderson; step-daughter, Paige (Curt) Klein; step-son, Mitch Glynn; granddaughters, Meagan and Katrina; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by Dancer.

Memorial Services in Colorado and Milwaukee will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Gail's memory to the local humane society.
