Mary Ann, Edna and family
We just got an email from classmate, Jerry VanAllen, about Galen's passing. We are so very sorry to hear this. It is sooo hard to lose a loved one. We've had more experience in that area than we want to remember so we know it will take time to recover. Remember to give yourself that time. Just wish we could have known Galen as an adult, too, not only as a classmate. High school was a hoot. It sounds like he had many friends that will miss him, too. Take care of yourselves now that your lives are so different. Galen leaves behind a hole in your lives that will never be filled, but there will be lots of memories to help. Classmates, Terry and Sharolyn (Jamison) Tilton

Dearest Edna and The Howard Family,
I will always remember Galen as a good class mate. I especially remember the necklace he gave me for (I think) my 9th birthday in the Sharon Springs, Ks. park by my house. It was a set of orange pop beads. I also have the fondest memories of him in his yellow car. He will be greatly missed.

We are deeply saddened by your loss. I'll remember Galen as someone who was full of life. I loved talking Air Force Falcon and Kansas City Chief football with him. He will be missed.

Jessica & the Howard Families
Special people like Galen touch our lives in everything they do. They leave us changed long after they are gone. The gifts Galen always gave --his dedication, his inspiration, cheerfulness and encouragement -- becomes a part of who we are -- a legacy of love and beauty that lives on.
Galen and his families were a part of my life from age 3. I will always cherish those memories.
In Sympathy and Friendship

Dear Mary Ann,
I'm so very sorry for the untimely loss of your husband. I'm an insulator collector who used to live in Colorado, but I never had the privilege of meeting Galen. Yet, through my friends who knew him, I felt like I did too. May Galen rest in peace in the loving arms of God the Father and may He comfort you in this time of loss.
