My mother (Helen Stark) was the rural school teacher at the school near Garys home and he was one of her best students. Gary and I used to ride cows around his barn and twisted their tails to make them go faster. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Very sorry to hear about Gary's premature departure from this life. I first met Gary at Lowry AFB in Denver Colorado (along with Herb Ridge) as we trained for the MACE B missile. After Lowry we went to Orlando AFB in Orlando, Florida for final training, then on to eighteen months on Okinawa. We returned to the states and were assigned at Vandenberg AFB in California. Gary, Herb, and I re-enlisted together and were sent to Keesler AFB in Mississippi for training on computers. Gary and I wound up at March AFB in Riverside, California together where we strove to keep that silly computer system up and working all of the time. I left the AF at the end of that enlistment, but Gary continued on. He was probably the smartest guy I ever worked with. Clear Skies, Gary.

My deepest condolences to family and friends. I ran the Computer Repair Lab in the Cheyenne Mountain Complex and Gary visited our facility frequently. He was indeed talented in both the hardware and software area of computers. May God bless Gary.
