Gary Strong Obituary
Gary Wayne Strong was born on May 31, 1953 in Kingsport, Tennessee to Fred and Iva (Calhoun) Strong. He was a 1971 graduate of Fountain High School and then went into the Air Force. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was an Information Management Supervisor in the service. He retired in 1991. He married Kathy Bergamo on March 15, 1991.
Gary was a member of the DAV (Palmer Park Chapter) and the NRA. He was a fisherman, an avid marksman, motorcycle, car and motorhome enthusiast. He loved to cook and most of all, was a Denver Broncos football fan.
He will be best remembered for his warm heart, friendly nature and wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife; Kathy, his mother; Iva Strong of Fountain, Colorado, his brother; Carl (Wilma) Strong of Chuckey, Tennessee, his sister; Barbara Neberman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and his brother-in-law; Frank (Kate) Bergamo of Colorado Springs, Colorado, numerous nieces and nephews, and his special four legged daughter; Chloe.
He was preceded in death by his father; Fred, and twin brother; Darrell.
Memorial Services, at 2:00PM, Friday, February 5, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.

I was an old neighbor of Gary, Kathy and of course Chloe! He was always willing to help us out! I cant believe its been four years

I have been blessed to have known Gary for most of my life. We have been good friends for 50 years. He had heart of gold and always took the time to reach out and see how I was doing and we would talk football, fishing and music. I loved to talk politics with him and pull his chain till I could feel the steam coming over the phone. He enjoyed it to no matter how mad I made him. I'm going to miss my Buddy. My prayers and sympathy go out to Kathy and the family.
