George Ralph Brown, 82, departed in Broomfield, Colorado and went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2021. George was born on July 30, 1937 in Haynesville, Louisiana. George Ralph called Colorado Springs home for 40 years. He also lived in Hawaii, Illinois and Kansas.
Mr. Brown joined the United States Military and proudly served in the Army for 21 years. He was ranked E-7. During this time, he earned several awards and commendations. George was a loyal man and his bravery and sacrifice helped to keep our country strong and safe.
George enjoyed bowling, playing golf and various sports.
George Ralph was preceded in death by his mother, Ozell Wiley.
He lives on in memory in the hearts and minds of his sons, Gerald E. Brown of Davenport, Iowa, Marcus K. Brown of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Neil M. Brown of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church located at 3615 Vickers Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918.

The Buckley SFB military Retiree Activities Office (RAO) would like to offer our sincere condolences and our gratitude for SFC Brown's service to our country in the Army. If you would like help with any matters related to casualty assistance, Defense Finance & Accounting Service, Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), Veterans Affairs (VA), etc. you can contact our office on Buckley SFB at 720-847-6693. The RAO is staffed by volunteers, all military retirees themselves, and our sole purpose is to provide assistance to any military retirees and surviving spouses/family members with anything related to their military service and/or benefits, in particular during difficult times such as this. We are deeply sorry for your loss.
