George M. Clark, born Sept 30, 1933, passed to the great beyond on February 15, 2025.
George had a great love and appreciation for nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking in the Colorado mountains with the love of his life, his wife Melinda, and their many dogs over the years. He took great pleasure in whitewater rafting trips with his children and friends on numerous rivers out west. He loved seeing the vastness and beauty of the night skies on these trips.
One extraordinary experience for him was witnessing the total solar eclipse in 2017. He left at 3a.m. to drive to Nebraska; for him it was a surreal and spiritual event that he enthusiastically shared with others.
While he claimed to lack creativity, he created many beautiful stained glass pieces that his family cherishes, and he wrote stories that family and friends enjoyed reading.
His favorite things in life were simple pleasures: morning coffee and sunrises, spending time with family, reading books, and listening to music.
George's wife, Melinda, sons, Mike and Joe, and daughter, Stacy, along with their spouses, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends, bear witness to the quality of his character and take great pride and honor in being a part of his life. He will be deeply missed.
A celebration of a life well-lived will take place on Summer Solstice, June 20th.
