George Couture Obituary
SOMERSWORTH - George A. Couture, 75, died Sat. July 26, 2014, at his residence. George was born Dec. 18, 1938, the son of Joseph and Mabel (Kirouac) Couture, Hogue.
George was honorably discharged from the National Guard in 1963 and had been employed at General Electric in Somersworth, retiring in 1997.
He is survived by his daughter Daphne Davies of Indianapolis, In., grand-kitty Maya, his sister Alice Rand and her husband Clifton, and brothers Leo, Albert and Joseph, nieces, nephews, special friends from The Works, and ex-wife Trish Calvik. George was predeceased by his sister Rose St. Jean and brother Paul.
He enjoyed tennis, racquet ball, gardening, fishing and traveling.
In accordance with George's wishes there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of life will be held at The Works 246 Rt 108, Somersworth, N.H. on Sunday Aug. 10, 2014 from 3-6 p.m.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the Cocheco Valley Humane Society or animal shelters of your choice.

Uncle George will be dearly missed. He was a wonderful Uncle to me and a Great Uncle to my daughters. One who he now is in heaven with.
Uncle George will always be known for his wonderful sense of humor and laugh.
We Loved him so much and he will be deeply missed.
Daphne I am so very sorry you lost two wonderful people in your life so close in time. I pray that you find strength in knowing your family and friends are there for you. Love you Daphne. Will Always and Forever Love My Uncle George!!!

Dear Daphne,
So very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Worked with him in G.E. for many years and recently used to run in to him at the grocery store. Will miss him.
