George Henry Mineah was born in San Diego CA the son of Lawrence and Lucy Carson Mineah. After receiving his bachelors from UC Riverside, George, Barbara and their infant daughter Janice moved to Tacoma, Washington on Christmas day to start his job at Systems Development Corporation. In 1968 the family, now including younger daughter Carolyn, moved to Colorado Springs, where George participated in numerous bands, played soccer and provided for his family. During the 1980's and 90's George was an avid runner and triathlete. George played in the DixieQ's, Mandocentrics, and various Shriner bands. He also sang in the Colorado Springs Chorale for many years. George is survived by wife, Barbara and daughters Carolyn and Janice Dau as well as grandchildren, Marijane and Henry Dau.
We have finalized the plans for George's Celebration of Life. We are planning on a German Polka Band! Isn't that so George?
