George Swintz Obituary

Swintz
GEORGE PAGE SWINTZ
October 7, 1930 December 24, 2018
George P. Swintz, 88, died December 24, 2018. He was born October 7, 1930 to Mary Louise (Page) and Dr. George R. Swintz in South Bend, Indiana.
George graduated from the University of Michigan in 1952 and was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He married Margaret Ruth Boldon on April 25, 1953. Their two sons George (Betty) of Breckenridge and Robert (Katy) of Boise, Idaho survive him as well as his brother Frederick (Sharon) Swintz of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
George's entire working career was spent with Whirlpool Corporation attaining executive positions in sales and as Divisional Director of Procurement. George and Margaret retired in 1986 and moved to Colorado Springs where they enjoyed their grandchildren, the mountains, fishing, golfing, hiking and traveling. George desired his obituary to include: "The most perfect human being I ever knew was my wife of 51 years, Margie. I have the greatest appreciation for her tolerance of me." And "My greatest accomplishment was helping to make our two sons George and Bob better men than I."
Friends may greet the family on January 20 at Swan-Law Funeral Directors at a 1 PM memorial service with a reception to follow. All are welcome at the viewing at Swan-Law starting at 10:30 AM and internment at 12 o'clock noon at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

I had the pleasure of meeting George when he would come into the agency where I worked for years. I enjoyed seeing him each and every time. My deepest sympathy is extended to his family and friends.
