George K. Waterhouse, age 81, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away February 7, 2022.
He was born March 10, 1940 to George and Georgianna Waterhouse in St. Louis, Missouri.
George went to Soldan High School and graduated in 1957. He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked as a union electrician, Business Manager for IBEW Local #113, and for twenty-three years was the Director of the State Electrical and Plumbing Boards in Denver, Colorado.
George enjoyed traveling, reading, pets, friends, and family.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother; and one grandson, Andrew Waterhouse.
George is survived by his wife, Sharron of Colorado Springs; children, Ken (Carole) Waterhouse, Kevin (Lisa) Waterhouse, Chris (Kris) Waterhouse, Kahle (Jo Jo) Charles, Hillary Charles; and eleven grandchildren, Brandon (Kendra) Charles, Dr. Coleen (Matt) Hurd, Ryann Charles, Blake (Katie) Waterhouse, Rebecca Waterhouse, Eli (Andi) Waterhouse, Kelly Waterhouse, Colby Waterhouse, Micah Waterhouse, Alaina Waterhouse, Isaac Waterhouse.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational United Church of Christ (www.fcucc.org), Westside Cares (www.westsidecares.org), or the Pikes Peak Humane Society (www.hsppr.org).

My sympathies for your loss. I had the good fortune of working with George for about 12 years at the CO Department of Regulatory Agencies while he was Executive Office of the CO Electricians and Plumbers Board. Always a competent and smart manager and of fine character and cheer (great sense of humor!). Outside of the office, I think that George knew every back road that existed in the southern Rockies. Such a wonderful person of a sort we see far too seldom in life.
