Georgie Fenter Obituary

Georgie Marie Dorough Fenter peacefully passed away to be with her heavenly Father in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by her family and loved ones on March 12, 2014. She was born September 25, 1915 in Kaufman, Texas to Howard Moore and Myrtle Dorough and moved to Clint, Texas as a small child.

Georgie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the Lord and her family and friends with a love that shined to everyone making them feel like they were family too. She loved to cook and help others and shared that talent with everyone. She was a volunteer in church, school, and community activities. She was very active in her church, taught Sunday school for many years, and received the first Pillar Award for outstanding and loyal service to Bond Memorial Methodist Church in 2008. Georgie had a positive attitude, a loving nature, was always smiling and just loved life.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 71 years, A.L. (Kiddo) Fenter, her sister Bea Massey, and brother Thurman Dorough. She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Morris, son-in-law Steve Morris, grandsons Steven and Michael Morris, great-grandson Ian Morris, several nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

Visitation: 5:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at San Jose Funeral Home-Fabens. Funeral Service: 10:00am, Thursday, March 20, 2014 at San Jose Funeral Home-Fabens, officiated by Rev. Janice Kahl, followed by interment at Restlawn Memorial Park in El Paso, Texas.
