Gerald Phillip (Jerry) Crumley peacefully passed away at his home on June 7, 2022, in Dripping Springs, TX after 86 years of a life well lived. A native of Colorado, Jerry was born in Boulder, Colorado. He spent the first 17 years of his life in and around Boulder, Greeley, Briggsdale and Cornish. He attended Briggsdale High School and graduated from Wichita State University with a BBA. After proudly serving in the US Marine Corp, he began his civilian career in El Dorado, KS. It was here that he met the love of his life, his wife Sarah, and they set out on a fun filled life together. Jerry's career saw him hone his business and procurement skills across the aviation industry (Boeing), the electronic industry (Ampex) and the paper and giftware industry (Looart Press, Current Inc). Throughout his career, his enjoyment and appreciation of others led to lasting relationships with colleagues across both the US and in Asia where he frequently travelled to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei, and many other countries. While proud of a successful career, Jerry's biggest joy came from time spent with family and friends. Whether it was camping, fishing, four-wheeling, boating, road-trips to see kids or grandkids, trips to Vegas or simply enjoying a good meal together, you were almost certain to experience a "Jerry-ism" followed by a twinkle in his blue eyes! He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sarah, favorite "older" daughter Laura Crumley and her wife Tamra of Dripping Springs, favorite "younger" daughter Karen Murray and her husband Doug of Colorado Springs, and granddaughter Ashlyn Murray and grandson Cole Murray. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ethel, his beloved grandfather Andrew, brother Ronnie, half-sister Vivian and half-brother Ernest. A small graveside service will be held at Eastonville Cemetery in Black Forest, Colorado on August 9th at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you may wish to make a donation to your local no-kill animal shelter in recognition of the many pets that enriched Jerry's life through the years.
