Gerald Flanigan Obituary

Gerald F. Flanigan, a life-long resident of Colorado Springs, told his last joke on November 21, 2016.

Jerry was born May 22, 1929, to Franklin and Lois Flanigan. He was President and co-owner of Colorado Springs Music Company from 1964 until 1996, when he sold the business and retired.

Jerry enjoyed racketball at the YMCA, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His happy place was his cabin at Mt. Massive Lakes Trout Club, where he was an active member for over 50 years.

Jerry is survived by Leslie, his wife of 39 years; daughter, Dodie Flanigan, son Steve Flanigan, and their mother, Pat Flanigan; step-daughters Ann Kough, Eve Busher, and Sarah Lund; and six grandchildren, Tori and Jack Holtestaul, Thomas and Leslie Kough, and Sophie and Quinn Busher.

No services are planned, but a small family gathering will be held this summer at Mt. Massive.

Contributions can be made to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill St, Colorado Springs, CO 80906.

Love you, Jer Bear. I was truly blessed to have you for the 45 years you've been in my life. Some folks are lucky to have one decent dad ... I had two awesome ones.
