Gerald Gibson Obituary
He was a resident of Colorado Springs for almost 50 years. Jerry was an engineer for General Electric for over 30 years, which took him to Turkey, Thailand, Philippines, and Bermuda. Jerry was born on June 20, 1932 to Gerald and Mildred (Tinker) Gibson in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He served in the US Air Force for 4 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Rita; his children: Ann, Jane (Dilsaver), Lisa (Mitchell), and Gerald; his sister, Gloria Lennon; his brother, Robert Gibson; his grandchildren: Ashley and Andrea Mitchell, and Lillian and Hunter Gibson. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Peter.
There will be a private family interment at Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs.

Jerry used to travel to the GE built and maintained Spacetrack radar sites around the world. At the Pirinclik Turkey radar site one of the GE personnel had a very conservative personal economic leaning. Back when Heineken was only 35 cents per bottle at the club, this person was known to say "I would buy a round but I only have a $100 bill". On one trip to site Jerry came prepared, and he responded "I've got change!" This was the Jerry we all know and love.

I'm so deeply sorry to learn o Jerry's passing. We shared many fond times together.
