Gerald Harris Obituary

Gerald Lester Harris, 83, died December 8, 2012, at home in Colorado Springs beside his loving wife Bernice, of 62 years. Gerry lived in Colorado for 26 years. Gerald was born in Brooklyn, NY, on December 7, 1929. Gerry married Bernice on June 9, 1951. He was a loving husband, father & grandfather. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from New York Polytechnic Institute in 1950, and a Master of Science in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1969. After his service as a Marine, he worked as an engineer. Mr. Harris loved woodworking, designing and building model sailing ships. He also enjoyed skiing, ice dancing, duplicate bridge, hiking, and camping. He is survived by wife Bernice, sons Dr. Kevin (Dr. Katri) of Birmingham, AL, grandsons Aukusti, Konsta, and granddaughter Lumi, and son Terrance (Ida) of Gold Camp, AZ, and grandsons Patrick, lan, Sean. Memorial Service will be, 10:00AM, Monday, January 7, 2013, Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 6455 Brook Park Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Graveside Service 11:00AM, Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
