Gerald Polokoff Obituary

Gerald Polokoff was born on June 24, 1925 to Morris and Fannie Polokoff in Kansas City, Kansas.

He attended Washburn University and graduated from the University of Kansas, remaining a Kansas Jayhawk basketball fan.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital for many years.



He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of 65 years; daughters Stefanie (Gary) Neumann, Andi (Bob) Leopoldus, Robin (Gary) Patterson; grandchildren Missy (Corey) O'Brien, Jenny (Jon) Ball, Jessica Patterson and Davyn Housman, Brandon Leopoldus, and Joshua Patterson; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Mathew Neumann.

Graveside Service, 2:00PM, Sunday, April 6 at Mt. Nebo Memorial Park, 11701 E 13th Ave, Aurora, CO 80010.

Memorial Service, 3:00PM, Monday, April 7, Temple Shalom, 1525 E. Monument Street, CO 80909.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Jewish Health Center, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to a charity of your choice.

I remember you both from the clinic on Silverstone dr. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Its been a blessing to get to know both of you. Its been a long time, but I will be thinking of you in this time of your loss. Prayers, hugs sent to you and family.
