Gerald Roebke Obituary

Jerry Roebke passed away at home on December 12, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 70. He was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Evergreen,

Colorado both on the Evans Ranch and in town.

Jerry was a long time employee of AT&T. This job took his family from Colorado to Wyoming and California and back again over the years. He was an avid cyclist – both

motorcycles and bicycles. His bright yellow Goldwing with sidecar could be seen around town transporting him and his various pet companions. He was a Life Member of the

NRA and enjoyed all manner of shooting sports.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1965-1966. He was Honorably Discharged.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ida Sharlene (Lister), his sons, Eric Roebke (Mary) & Gerald John Roebke III (Lynnece), 5 grandchildren Seamus Michael Roebke, Geralynn Roebke, Gwendalynn Roebke, Leslie Roebke & Layla Roebke, his sister Ganet Covington (Sam), numerous nieces and nephews and his little dog, Sandy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald John Roebke, Sr. & Jessie Geneva (Reeves) Roebke.

Jerry married Sharlene Lister on March 19, 1967 in Lamar, Colorado.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 20th at 12:00 PM at Alternative Cremation & Funeral Service, 2377 North Academy Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80917.
