Gerald (Gary) Asa Smith passed away on 01/28/2025. He was born on 05/14/1937 in Greeley, Colorado.
Gary married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Elaine Weber, in 1955, and they were together until Joyce's death in 2022. Gary lived most of his life in Colorado, where he had a long and successful career with McCormick & Co. Gary and Joyce retired to the Oregon coast in 1997. In 2015, they moved to Bloomington, IN, to be near their son Troy's family.
Gary is survived by children, Alan, Shelly, and Troy; grandchildren Larissa Brennan, Jamie Leigh, Chris Smith, Brandon Wacker, Henry Levine, and Wiley Smith; and great-grandson Carson Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce; parents, Asa and Zella (Throop) Smith and sisters, Shirley and Phyllis.
A private ceremony will be held on the Oregon coast to celebrate Gary's and Joyce's lives.
