CRIPPLE CREEK, CO - Our beloved, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Geraldine Warren, 85, passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Cripple Creek Care Center, following a long illness.
She was born June 20, 1932 in Tremonton UT, a daughter of Clarence Jack and Catherine Thorpe Hartley. She had two brothers (Ray and Roger).
On July 7, 1950 Geraldine married her junior high school sweetheart and love of her life, Cyrus L. Warren, in Ogden UT. They were married for more than 55 glorious years.
She lived in Ogden UT for most of her life and graduated from Ogden High School.
Geraldine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was the Chief of the Support Management Office at Defense Depot Ogden retiring after more than 36 years of government service. She received the prestigious "Top 10 in the Defense Logistics Agency" award and numerous Outstanding Performance citations.
Geraldine enjoyed bowling, golfing, gambling, crocheting and flowers. She was proud and supportive of her husband's service in the Navy during the Korean War. After her husband's passing, she came to live in Colorado with her daughter where she enjoyed watching the newborn calves and loving on her favorite dog Chewy.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter: Jeff (Julie) Warren, South Jordan UT; Gary (Alan) Warren, Kelowna, British Columbia Canada; Wendi Clarke (Joe Moore-Friend), Florissant CO; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, both brothers, and by a son-in-law (Arnold Clarke).
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden UT.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Humane Society.
