My Mom was always the life of the party, but last week she moved on and is no longer here physically. I miss her every second. Gerda S. Wolff, age 94, passed from this earth on June 26, 2019. She was born in Wiesbaden, Germany and moved to Colorado Springs in 1977. She lived here for the next 42 years rejoicing in the Colorado blue sky on even the rainiest of days.
She was a wonderful wife to her husband / my Dad, Adolph, throughout their 60 years of marriage; and she was an amazing Mom to me, her son Frederic. Due to the ease with which Gerda related to others and her positive outlook on life, she was able to make many loving friends throughout her journey.
Gerda and Adolph were deeply devoted to each other. They enjoyed each day's views of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains; every day's stellar panorama was new and different from that of the others before. I will remember Mom's beautiful smile, her love of flowers and hummingbirds, and her open and giving heart. She cherished the gifts of nature, and the world is a better place because she has been in it.

Visitation 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019 and service of remembrance 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019 all at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. A dinner reception will follow at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 S. Union Blvd., with famous pianist, Mr. Thomas Dawson, Director of Music for The Commodores. Private entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Alcove of Grace.
