Gilbert Tamayo Obituary

Gilbert one of my best friends growing up in Fort Lupton. We hung out with Frank Gomez, Bobby Gomez, Fred Medina, Jimmy Salias, Rudy Vigil, and Jerry Boros. Rudy Vigil, Frank Gomez and now Gilbert. I heard that Gilbert had passed and I wanted to attend but we could not find information on his services. So sorry for your loss. The thing I remember most is Gilbert doing the Elvis thing and the favorite song was Kansas City. I just wish we would have stayed in touch. Great memories.

I worked with Mr. Tamayo at home, and grew quite fond of Gilbert and Stella in the short time I knew them. Thoughts and prayers to all of you.

It was so sad to hear about Gilbert. He was quite a guy! We attended school together for many years and graduated together. He even attended a few of our class reunions--the latest one--the 50th last October! Thank you so much Stella for the extra push to get him there!! He was always very polite and a wonderful friend. I attended Ft Lupton High with Gilbert. We had a 50's band called "Sleepy and the Wide-awakes". I had the opportunity to talk to him last year at our 50th High School Reunion. Great Guy.

I was saddened to see that Gilbert had passed away. I had the pleasure of sitting in front of Gilbert at CSU many years ago. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Gilbert touched so many lives, not only here at Colorado Springs Utilities but all of his customers too. We will never forget you Gilbert. Love the team meetings; I always looked forward to hear your great stories. You were so upbeat and positive and always had words of encouragement. My prayers and thoughts are with the Tamayo family, my God comfort you, Gilbert will be truly missed.

The angels in Heaven called for an angel from earth, this angel happened to be Gilbert. We may mourn the loss of our friend Gilbert, but the angels are rejoicing in his arrival. His kind soul and giving spirit touched many and he will never be forgotten.

I have never met a finer person and true gentleman than Gilbert Tamayo. It was a great pleasure to work with him for many years with the Utilities company. He will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him

I was sad to hear about the passing of Gilbert; such a good person. After 50 years, I am happy I got to see Gilbert and you at our 50th Class Reunion. The memories of Gilbert were always a great time with our friends growing up. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones during this difficult time.
