Ginger was such a wonderful friend. We met in 2010 under not the best of circumstances. We had each other to lean on. We liked to go browse the antique stores and went to Denver and Estes Park together. I so admired her ability to work as a victim´s advocate with the sheriffs department. She had a wonderful sense of humor and I miss her so much. My condolences to her family and loved ones.

I have such wonderful memories of Ginger from the first time I met her at one of Tom and LaDawn's Halloween parties in the early 80's. She and Joe were dressed as a cheerleader and football player. For over 40 years we had so much fun . . . lots of laughs, food and wine!!!
There was a big group of us (two sets of Morton's, the Kepleys, the Hamilton's, the Goodall's and who ever else who wanted to go) that used to go camping all the time. Ginger never wanted to go, she said her idea of camping was a hotel. Well after a couple of years, we finally talked her and Joe into going with us to a wonderful little lake and campground at the base of John Marin Reservoir Damn. There about 7 families of us that time and we were all in a group quite close to the face of the damn so we really could not see to the west. On the second beautiful day, the winds started to pick up and so everyone is grabbing things so they don't blow away, but the winds are getting stronger and stronger. Joe told Ginger to stay in their Airstream trailer while he made sure everything was ok. Well everything was not ok, we could not see it coming but a tornado was passing overhead and touched down a few feet from our camp area. It popped the windows out of their Airstream and Ginger is in there by herself, not knowing what is going on, trying to stuff pillows and whatever she could find to plug the windows! Needless to say, they never went camping with us again!!!
Ginger & I went to Reno for one of Nicole's bowling tournaments. She was not much of a gambler but she would sit with me at the blackjack tables . . . we laughed and talked and then went to the pawn shop across the street from Harrah's . . . they had a great sale on jewelry! Need I say more.
Then there was the slumber party. The Kepley's were selling their house and moving to Black Forest, so since the house was empty, they decided to have a slumber party. There was at least 20 to 30 of us, we were wall to wall people with our sleeping bags and pillows in their living room and dining room watching movies, eating, drinking, laughing and we even slept a little!
We got to enjoy cruising together, that was fun, didn't matter where we were headed, just all of us together we knew we were going to have a good time.
Then just the four of us, Ginger, Linde, LaDawn and myself, were always doing something together. Weekend trips to the cabin with of course day trips to CrippleCreek, trips to Vegas and Lauglin, and many nights just sitting around together eating, laughing and drinking wine!!!
I think some of the best times of my life were spent with my dear friend, Ginger. Well sweetie, someday we will walk that Yellow Brick Road, arm and arm, together again. I will miss you.

Ginger you were the best friend anybody could ask for. You were always there for all of us. We had some good times at COVA. Your granddaughter will miss you, but she´ll have her Angel watching over her. Sorry I won´t be there Friday, but I´ll be thinking of you. Love you my friend. Condolences to the family.
