Ginny Henley Obituary

Ginny L.Henley, dedicated wife and mother of Ellicott, passed away peacefully at home September 23, 2006 after a long battle with diabetes. She was born June 4th 1952 to Doris A. (Butler) and Richard E.Roop Sr. in Denver. Ginny graduated from R-5 High School in Grand Junction. She attended Mesa College where she studied nursing. Her life was centered around her children, grandchildren and husband. Ginny leaves behind her loving husband David A.Henley Sr. and ten children: four daughters: Rebecca Armenta of Colorado Springs; Nellie Roop ,Crystal Westcott,and Doris Mitchell of Ellicott; six sons: Richard , Peter , Michael and Daniel of Ellicott; David John of Colorado Springs, Allan of Walsenburg; 17 grandchildren. Ginny is survived by brothers Robert Lee of Aberdeen, Washington; Richard of Denver and brother Jesse and sister Jeanie Riley of Canon City,. Ginny is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Clifford, Carl, John; two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 29th at the Open Door Church in Ellicott, two miles north of Highway 94 on Log Road. Burial will be in the Chico Basin Cemetery in Hanover CO.
