Glenn Raymond Francis Logan obituary

Glenn Logan Obituary

Born in Indio, California on March 23, 1937 to Lenore (McComb) and Raymond Logan, died in Colorado Springs on 14 July, 2010. Raised by various family members and friends during much of his youth, he returned to Temple City, California to live with his mother and step-father until age 16 when he enlisted in the Army. A few years later he met his wife, Rosalie (Gallegos), in Colorado Springs while stationed at Fort Carson. After 23 years of military service that saw tours in Germany, Korea, Viet Nam, Ethiopia, and Japan, he retired from Fort Meade, Maryland to settle into Odenton, Maryland where he ran a technical translation business that contracted work for the US government. He moved his family and business to Colorado Springs in 1977. Glenn returned to education in 1987 to earn a MA in counseling that he used to help fellow veterans and others with addictions to drugs and alcohol. He was involved with Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, IONS, and enjoyed golf and bowling. He was a member of the Veterans of Underage Military Service and the Blind Veteran's Association. Glenn is survived by his wife Rosalie, six children (Martin, Ben, Lenny, James, Trish and Karen), fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or Blinded Veterans Association. A memorial mass will be held as Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colorado Springs at 10:00 on Friday, July 23, 2010.
