Glenn Martin Obituary

Glenn Martin, age 60, died tragically on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Rainbow Falls Camp Site, the result of a stray bullet falling from the sky. He was a loving father, brother, grandpa, son and skilled machinist. He was a volunteer and regularly worshiped at New Life Church.

Glenn Alan Martin was born on April 10, 1955 in Aurora, Colorado to Donald H. and June (Battles) Martin. He was raised in the Adams County School District #12 and was a 1973 graduate of Merritt Hutton (Thornton) High School.

In high school, he qualified for the Colorado State tennis finals, a clarinet and tenor saxophone player. He was an athlete and enjoyed most sports, especially softball and volleyball.

He was employed by Sunstrand Industries, Aeon Precision, O'Keefe and most recently by LIEB Precision Tool.

At New Life Church, he was associated with the communion ministry, the SCILL Ministry and served in the choir. He was a gentle spirit.

He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always found to be in a good mood. This man of family and faith will be best remembered for his puns, corny jokes and play on words.

Glenn is survived by three daughters, Carlie (Chris) Cordova, Janelle (James) Canody and Tiffany Martin, all of Colorado Springs.

He is also survived by his mother, June Martin of Greenwood Village; his brother, Lee (Jeannette) Martin of Larkspur; his sisters, Tina Johnson of Denver and Becky Steele of Canon City; and five wonderful grandchildren, Dominick, Jacob, Rachel, Ricki and Mateo.

Memorial Service, 2:00PM, Saturday, July 11, 2015, New Life Church, World Prayer Center, 11025 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, Colorado. A reception will follow in the Courtyard of the Church.

I'm so surprised and saddened that you beat us to our Lord Jesus; but give Him and Nathan a hug for us.We will miss you greatly and you will leave a huge void in our hearts but we will keep on keeping on till we meet again
