Gloria Holton Obituary

Gloria V. Holton, age 83, passed away March 26, 2010, at Liberty Heights, Colorado Springs. Born December 6, 1926, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she lived most of her life in Southern California, and then in Colorado Springs for 11 years. Gloria loved to cook and garden and was an accomplished cosmetologist and manicurist. She is survived by Edwin Holton, her loving husband for 38 years, Merilyn Armbruster (sister), and nephews Larry (Karen), Craig (DeDe), and Brent (Jamie) Armbruster. She is also survived by her stepchildren Sandy (Ron) Short, Larry (Louise) Holton and Linda Elam; step-grandchildren Jessica Short , Eric Holton, Kalai Fleck, Jordan Elam and Kevin Elam; and step-great-grandchildren Zane Elam, Emily Fleck and Zachary Fleck. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Carter and Verna Stevens, and brother-in-law Roni Armbruster. The funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8710 Lexington Dr., Colorado Springs, conducted by Bishop Sterling Rogers.
