GLORIA J KRUENEGEL

Gloria J. Kruenegel, 71, of Woodland Park, CO, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on 10 Nov 2022. Known too many as 'Grams,' she was born in Rochester, IN; the eldest of 9 children. She was raised in IL and graduated from Gilman High School. As a military wife, she lived in NE, HI, AK, AZ, MD, and Osan Air Base in South Korea. She will most be remembered for her unconditional love and support of family and friends, love of nature, baking cinnamon rolls, gardening and exploring new places around the world with the love of her life. She loved crafting, sewing, and making funny t-shirts. Gloria was a jeeping enthusiast and a member of the Ute Pass Iron Goats Jeep club. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Rick Kruenegel; daughters, Stacey Murphy (Terry), Kelly Eldred (Jeff); son, Michael Peterson; stepchildren, Matt Kruenegel, Stephanie Palmer (Josh); grandchildren, Daniel, Cheyenne, Lucas, Eli, Toni, Dakota; great granddaughter, Natalee; 7 siblings. She is proceeded in death by parents, Jay and Hilda Thomas; sister, Effie Williams; mothers-in-law, Margaret Peterson and Charlotte Jeanne Seek; grandson, Ricky Eldred.

The Buckley SFB military Retiree Activities Office (RAO) would like to offer our sincere condolences on your loss. It appears from the obituary that Mr. Kruenegel may have retired from the military. If so, and you would like help with any matters related to casualty assistance, Defense Finance & Accounting Service, Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), Veterans Affairs (VA), etc. you can contact our office on Buckley SFB at 720-847-6693 or [email protected]. The RAO is staffed by volunteers, all military retirees themselves, and our sole purpose is to provide assistance to any military retirees and surviving spouses/family members with anything related to their military service and/or benefits, in particular during difficult times such as this.
