Grace Riester Obituary
She was born on July 22, 1925 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Carl Otto and Amanda Josephine (Kleiboecker) Walter.
She married her lifelong love, William Henry Riester, Jr., in 1949.
Grace was a dedicated teacher whose career spanned 4 decades and several continents. She frequently moved with her husband and 3 children, finally settling in Colorado Springs which she called home for 42 years.
Her passions were her faith, her husband, and her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her daughter Amy Jo.
She is survived by her sons William Henry Riester, III, and wife Jill of Lansing, Kansas, Carl Walter Riester and wife Kathleen of Madison, Alabama, and grandchildren Amanda, Alexander and wife Kaitlyn, and Cecilia.
A graveside service will be held at Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs at 9:00 AM on Friday, September 18, 2015, followed by a remembrance service and reception at Northeast Bible Chapel, 1722 North McArthur Avenue, Colorado Springs, commencing at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 18, 2015.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to Camp Elim, 5567 Painted Rocks Road, Woodland Park, Colorado 80863.

Our dear friend Gracie is with the Lord she loved and served. What wonderful memories of Bill, Grace and Amy Jo. We enjoyed their hospitality in the Springs many times. They were dear friends. May the Lord comfort each family member at this time.
